(WPCS), a leader in engineering services for the wireless market has announced that it has recently been awarded a variety of new projects totaling
$6.1 million for specialty communication systems and wireless infrastructure services. Some of the contracts awarded to WPCS are projects to be
completed for the New Jersey Department of Transportation, ICM Corporation, Xilinx and the Carlstadt and Hackensack, New Jersey Fire Departments.
In addition, new projects are underway for the Passaic County Office of Emergency Management, the Mohegan Sun Hotel & Casino,
Bally’s Park Place Hotel & Casino and the Pulte/Del Webb Corporation. WPCS was also awarded contracts to deploy wireless emergency dispatch systems
for the police departments of Middle Township, Brick Township, Wayne Township, Old Bridge, Jackson and Bordentown, New Jersey.
Including in the new contracts awarded is a project totaling $1.8 million to be completed for The California Department of
Transportation (CALTRANS). This project is to upgrade traffic operation system message signs in both Placer and Nevada Counties of California.
Once installed, this system will provide the public with amber alert notifications, weather advisory, traffic monitoring, as well as enhance
motorist knowledge of general road conditions ahead.
