(WPCS), a leader in design-build engineering services for specialty communication systems and wireless infrastructure, has announced that it has
recently been awarded a variety of new projects totaling $5.4 million for specialty communication systems and wireless infrastructure services.
Some of the contracts awarded to WPCS include projects to be completed for the St. Louis Science Center, the Port Authority of New York & New
Jersey, Rutgers University, Amtrak, FedEx and the Carteret, Woodridge, North Brunswick, Milburn and Gloucester Township, New Jersey Police Departments.
Included in these new contracts is a project to be completed for Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in San Francisco,
California. The project is being completed through the WPCS Walker Comm subsidiary and its general contracting relationship with Johnson Controls.
Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center is a licensed acute-care hospital that includes a rehabilitation care facility with skilled nursing
services. The hospital operates within the Community Health Network, which is owned and operated by the Department of Public Health for the City
and County of San Francisco. It is the largest single site municipally owned and operated skilled nursing care facility in the country. The scope
of work to be performed includes installing enhanced security features, a paging and nurse call system and high speed connectivity for voice and
data transmission between hospital building locations.
